If you’re planning a visit, one question often comes up: what can you actually do once you arrive on Île aux Cerfs?
The good news is that you don’t need a detailed itinerary. The island is easy to explore, allowing you to spend the day at your own pace, whether you prefer relaxing on the beach, walking along the coast, swimming or enjoying water activities.
Here’s an overview of what you can expect.
Relax on the Main Beach
Most visitors begin their day on the island’s main beach.
It’s easily accessible from the arrival area and offers plenty of space to relax, swim or simply enjoy the surroundings. Some visitors stay here for most of the day, while others use it as a starting point to explore the island.
Walk Along the Coastal Trail
If you’d like to explore beyond the beach, follow the shaded coastal path that runs alongside Îlot Mangénie.
This walk is approximately 1.5 km long and offers different views across the lagoon while passing through quieter areas of the island.
Please note that although the trail runs alongside Îlot Mangénie, it does not provide access to its private facilities.
